Nago Pineapple Park



This park highlights about 100 types of pineapple and at least 100 different pineapple products from cake, cookies, lotions and of course pineapple wine. Pineapple is a staple of Okinawa.

Christopher Columus discovered pineapple about 1493 and introduced pineapple into European and later American. The Spaniards called pineapple piƱa, because it resembled a pinecone.
